Being conscious of our potential public personas. We are more likely to follow social standards and act in ways that are acceptable in society because of this consciousness.
Although this kind of awareness has advantages, it also carries the risk of overt self-consciousness. People with high levels of this feature may worry excessively about what other people think of them.
How can one develop self-awareness? You may practice being present with yourself and your emotions in a variety of ways, which can enhance your self-awareness.
The act of focusing your attention on one thing during meditation—such as your breath, a mantra, or a feeling—while allowing your ideas to pass by without holding on to them.
Being mindful is focusing on the present and being aware of your surroundings rather than getting caught up in thought, ruminating, or daydreaming.
